Transferring Video to my HTC Evo
After visiting AndroidForums.com I quickly learned about Handbrake. This is an awesome app that converts video to Mp4. I tested it out on a few and using the universal settings, it worked perfectly. I used Dropbox to transfer the files. I have not gotten my Laptop to speak to the phone yet (only tried once after changing the USB settings to disk drive).
Then I installed a file explorer. There is a native Video Viewer on the HTC Evo.

First Evo Tips
Hold the home button to get the last apps. I thought this was open windows, but not the case.
I like the Bank of America App.
I like the Google Goggles App, but would like the camera view to show more businesses in the landscape (I've only see it populate twice).
I really like the Yelp App.
I installed Fring and have done a few video calls via Skype. It was a little choppy. I expect Skype's app to be much better.
Customize your Desktop. You get seven screens worth of Widgets or shortcuts.
The "share" functionality from the camera is sick. One or two clicks to post on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
I am still getting used to the Exchange / Activesync interface, but it is pretty impressive.
Last one for today, try the audio recognition. I do not like texting. This makes texting a breeze! (and much safer while driving)

My HTC Evo!
The new love of my life is my HTC Evo by Sprint. I have stayed away from Smart Phones over the past few years just because I felt they did not have more than what I could do with my Motorola Q.
This Blog is going to be about my daily findings with my Evo. I will throw in some tips and tricks as I find them. I would love comments and welcome guest posters, just email me (jlaratro@tandem-interactive.com).
